ShonarPets cares deeply about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle carefully the information we have collected about you and your use of our services. We never provide your data to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by ShonarPets. The effective date for the validity of these terms is 19/04/2024, with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what data we collect about you, what we use this data for, and under what conditions we may share this data with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you have provided to us.

E-commerce Software

 

MyWebstore

Our web store is developed using software from JouwWeb. Personal data that you provide to us for the purpose of our services is shared with this party. JouwWeb has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have with them, JouwWeb is obligated to take appropriate security measures. JouwWeb uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored.

 

Web Hosting

 

JouwWeb
We use web hosting and email services from JouwWeb. JouwWeb processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. These are not personal data. JouwWeb has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. JouwWeb is obligated to confidentiality under the agreement.

 

Payment processors

 

Mollie

For processing (part of) the payments in our web store, we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address, and residential information, as well as your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in this context, to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie's services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not retain your data longer than permitted by legal terms.

 

Reviews

 

JouwWeb

We collect reviews through the JouwWeb platform. When you leave a review via JouwWeb, you are required to provide your name and email address. JouwWeb shares this information with us so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, JouwWeb may contact you to provide clarification on your review. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with JouwWeb. They only use this data for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. JouwWeb has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. JouwWeb reserves the right to engage third parties for the purpose of providing the service; for this, we have granted permission to JouwWeb. Shipping and Logistics

 

Sendcloud

When you place an order with us, it's our responsibility to ensure that your package is delivered to you. We use the services of Sendcloud to create shipping labels. For this purpose, it is necessary for us to share your name, address, and residential information with Sendcloud. Sendcloud only uses this data for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that Sendcloud engages subcontractors, Sendcloud also provides your data to these parties.

 

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it's our responsibility to ensure that your package is delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL for carrying out deliveries. For this purpose, it is necessary for us to share your name, address, and residential information with PostNL. PostNL only uses this data for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also provides your data to these parties.

 

DHL

When you place an order with us, it's our responsibility to ensure that your package is delivered to you. We use the services of DHL for carrying out deliveries. For this purpose, it is necessary for us to share your name, address, and residential information with DHL. DHL only uses this data for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that DHL engages subcontractors, DHL also provides your data to these parties.

 

Invoicing and Accounting

 

E-Boekhouden

For maintaining our administration and accounting, we utilize the services of E-Boekhouden. We share your name, address, residential information, and details regarding your order. These data are used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data are transmitted and stored securely. E-Boekhouden is obligated to confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. E-Boekhouden does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

 

External Sales Channels

 

Etsy

We sell (a portion of) our items through the Etsy platform. If you place an order via this platform, Etsy shares your order and personal data with us. We use this information to process your order. We handle your data confidentially and have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

Purpose of Data Processing

General Purpose of Processing We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time, other than at your request, we will explicitly request your consent. Your data is not shared with third parties, except to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound by confidentiality under the agreement between them and us or by oath or legal obligation.

Automatically Collected Data Data automatically collected by our website is processed for the purpose of further improving our services. This data (such as your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with Fiscal and Criminal Investigations In certain cases, ShonarPets may be obligated to share your data with tax or criminal investigations by government authorities due to legal obligations. In such cases, we are compelled to share your data, but we will oppose it within the limits of the law.

 

Data Retention Periods

We retain your data for as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also consider it as a request for deletion ("right to be forgotten"). This also means that we will not retain your data for longer than two years from the last contact moment or transaction, unless there is a legal justification for it. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices with your (personal) data, so we will retain this data for as long as the applicable term lasts. However, employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents that we have produced as a result of your assignment.

 

Your Rights

Under the applicable Dutch and European legislation, you, as a data subject, have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below, we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to your already known email address. In case you wish to receive the data at another email address or by post, for example, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of handled requests; in the case of a deletion request, we store anonymized data. All copies and copies of data are provided in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data inappropriately.

You always have the right to restrict the data that we (or others process on our behalf) process and that relate to you as a person or are traceable to you. You can make a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address we have on file that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

 

Right to Data Portability

You always have the right to have the data that we (or others process on our behalf) process and that relate to you as a person or are traceable to you, transferred to another party. You can make a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties to the email address we have on file. In all likelihood, in such a case, we will no longer be able to continue providing services, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

 

Right to Object and Other Rights

If you object, we will immediately cease processing the data pending the resolution of your objection.
